When I see every major luxury car manufacturer going the fastback route lately, Mercedes (with the CLS proto-back in 2005), BMW (GT), Audi (Sportback), Aston Martin (Rapide), even Ferrari (!?)(FF), what this says to me is that the designers are all onboard with the concept already. Will they gain mainstream acceptance? Maybe. The public always lags the designers, but it's also possible that the trend will just fizzle out; hard to say.
And the Panamera is better proportioned than every one of those examples I listed, in my opinion.

I think they both look awful.
